Joan Baez用十年思念写成的诗。“钻石”象征逝去的爱留下的闪亮而永恒的记忆，“铁锈”则隐喻爱逝去后留给时光的无情印痕。
《Diamonds and Rust》创作于1975年，是美国民谣歌后Joan Baez以自己当年与“民谣歌帝”Bob Dylan的爱情为题材谱写的一首恋曲，用以纪念两人那段刻骨铭心的爱情。
Joan Baez，1941年出生于美国纽约，1959年纽波特城举办的第一届民谣音乐节上首次登台便一举成名。Joan Baez的演唱绝妙惊人，未经正规训练却朴实无华，声音高低错落有致，不时以激情传神，音质柔和，令人过耳不忘。
